S. Marnise Roberts is co-founder and managing partner of Roberts & Limbrick Enterprises, LLC, a Michigan-based,
educational-services consulting company, established in 1999. Her first book, Friendly Not Friends--How to Do the Hard Work of Parenting &
Still Make Your Home Fun, earned third place in The Christian Writers Award spring 2014 contest (Parenting category) sponsored by Xulon Press.
"Miss Marnise"®and her husband Byron, who are natives of Flint, Michigan, offer motivational speaking on a variety of education and
character subjects, and provide practical consulting and training in areas such as professional development, team building and parenting.
Their clients are universities, Federal and state government organizations, small businesses, nonprofits, K-12 school systems, churches and parents.
In the early 1990s, Miss Marnise founded and directed God’s Christian Women (GCW), Incorporated, a Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) organization,
which hosted a yearly Christian women’s conference. Under her leadership, GCW grew over seven years to bless more than 250 women on three
Early in her career, she worked as a top advertising sales executive for Davis Broadcasting Incorporated in Columbus, Georgia.
She is an alumna of the University of Michigan-Flint, where she earned her bachelor's degree in social work.
Miss Marnise is a “connector” who has a passion for making a difference in the lives of others, especially young people.
Her purpose is to leave everyone she encounters in a better place than when she met them. She is called to teach, and is actively engaged in the
development of countless youth and children. In 2014, she was inducted into the Phi Delta Kappa, Gamma Delta Chapter, educators’ sorority “Hall of
Living Legends.” She serves on the strategic-planning committee for the State of Michigan PTA. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Delta Psi Omega Chapter, where she is chairman of one of the Dimensions
of Services--Family Strengthening.
She and Byron are the proud parents of:
•Winston, a fifth-grade teacher with KIPP Academy (Newark, NJ); a 2014 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Morehouse College; and former Google intern;
•Shelbey, a television reporter with Fox28 (Savannah, GA); a University Honors graduate of the University of Michigan; and two-time Google summer intern and Google campus ambassador; and
•Greer,an honor-roll senior at Howard University, and the first Howard student to be named a Schwarzman Scholar--a Rhodes Scholarship-inspired master's degree program in China; a Johnson & Johnson summer intern/campus ambassador; and former Boeing summer intern/team leader.
The family resides in Canton, Michigan. Byron and Marnise serve actively as members of Second Baptist Church of Ann Arbor, where Marnise serves as the director of Christian education.
